The centrepiece of Stobfest 2017 is Gala Day. Building on the success of last years event, even more activities are planned.
10am: Pipe Band and static Museum of Transport display at the Morgan.
11am: Parade led by Pipe Band to the Gala Day fayre at Boomerang Community centre in Kemback Street.
11.30 - 3pm: Fayre at Boomerang with stalls and entertainment.
Noon -3 pm Nature walks and talks at Glass Pavilion, Baxter Park.
7pm: Quiz night at Park Hall.
About the Forum
Our second annual community festival takes place over two weeks from Monday 8th to Friday 19th of May.
The centrepiece is the Stobfest Gala Day on Saturday 13th with a Pipe Band leading the parade
down Albert Street to the Fayre at Boomerang. Also Nature Walks in Baxter Park and activities at the Morgan.
The Strawberry Thief Oor Wullie will reside in Arthurstone Library for the duration of the
festival with associated workshops and activities aimed at young people.
Other events will include a local history talk, pop-up cinema, slot car racing, art exhibitions
and much more.
